WHY WAS THE SPORTBOT CREATED?

In 2020, COVID-19 shut down tennis courts, leaving players feeling lonely and frustrated. Toni Ulčar, an engineer who loves tennis, felt the same way. He wanted to keep improving, even if he had to play alone. But the old ball machines were boring—they didn’t challenge him or feel like playing against a real opponent.

So, Toni decided to create the Sportbot: a moving tennis ball machine that could move around the court, send balls flying in different ways, and act like a true partner.

Today, Sportbot helps players and coaches of all ages train and get better. Toni’s goal is simple: to make it easier for everyone to improve their tennis.
